Jill Blubbers - The Fox
Jill Blubbers - The Fox
Are you looking for a short, sharp, ridiculous character piece in a totally different style than anything in your book? Well, welcome to the ride that is Jill Blubbers.
This piece is from a short musical called The Fox, based on the D.H Lawrence novella of the same name, with book & lyrics by Jamie Buxton and music by Lucy O’Brien. It’s based in England, in 1918.
This three-hander comes to a climax at this moment, where Jill refuses to believe that her housemate (and possible love interest…) is going to marry the young man who’s been living with them for several months. What a to-do! How can she! Gasp!
